Angiography
Angiography is a medical imaging technique, in this a tube or catheter is inserted into blood vessels and is guided towards the heart with the help of x-ray imaging technique. After this, to clearly visualize the arteries DYE is introduced inside and digital cine films or we can say angiograms (medical term) are recorded and analyzed. Angioplasty
Angioplasty is an endovascular, minimally invasive technique to widen the obstructed or narrowed artery or veins .In this procedure a deflated balloon connected to a catheter is inserted into blood vessel with the help of guided wire and then balloon is inflated to a fixed size. The balloon pushes expansion of the blood vessel and the muscular wall, allowing an improved blood flow through them. After this at the time of ballooning a Stent is inserted to ensure the blood vessel to remain open. After the whole process balloon is deflated and withdrawn.
